How it works
Cast Corpse Dance by paying its mana cost, targeting any applicable target.
Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying its mana cost.
When Dualcaster Mage enters, it triggers, targeting Corpse Dance.
Holding priority, activate Phantom Train by sacrificing Dualcaster Mage.
Resolve the Dualcaster Mage trigger, copying Corpse Dance, with the copy targeting Dualcaster Mage
Resolve the Corpse Dance copy, returning Dualcaster Mage from your graveyard to the battlefield.
Repeat from step 3.
This clever loop transforms a simple graveyard recursion trick into a self-sustaining engine by cleverly utilizing Phantom Train as a dedicated sacrifice outlet for your creatures. When you cast Corpse Dance and flash in Dualcaster Mage to copy it, you set up a recursive dance where the copy targets the Mage itself. Because Phantom Train lets you sacrifice Dualcaster Mage to animate itself and grow with +1/+1 counters, you can seamlessly send the Mage right back to the graveyard to be immediately returned to the battlefield by the resolving Corpse Dance copy, repeating the entire sequence indefinitely.
