How it works

1. Cast Thunderous Debut by paying 6 and sacrificing an artifact, enchantment or token.
2. Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying 1.
3. When Dualcaster Mage enters the battlefield, it triggers, copying Thunderous Debut.
4. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Dualcaster Mage.
5. When Dualcaster Mage dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Dualcaster Mage on top of your library from your graveyard.
6. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing target player to mill cards equal to Dualcaster Mage's power.
7. Resolve the copy of Thunderous Debut, causing you to look at the top twenty cards of your library and put Dualcaster Mage and up to one other creature card onto the battlefield.
8. Repeat from step 3.

This loop is a masterclass in recursive recycling, using Thunderous Debut to continually pull your key pieces straight from the library thanks to its bargain-fueled battlefield entry. The real engine relies on Mortuary to intercept Dualcaster Mage the moment Altar of Dementia sends it to the graveyard, effortlessly placing the wizard right back on top of your library where Thunderous Debut can find it again. By copying that very same Thunderous Debut on each iteration, Dualcaster Mage ensures you can repeat the process infinitely to mill out any opponent while flooding your board with every single creature your deck has to offer.
