How it works

1. Cast Demonic Gifts by paying its mana cost.
2. Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying its mana cost.
3. When Dualcaster Mage enters, it triggers, copying Demonic Gifts, with the copy targeting Dualcaster Mage.
4. Resolve the copy of Demonic Gifts.
5. Holding priority, activate Yahenni by sacrificing Dualcaster Mage.
6. When Dualcaster Mage dies, it triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
7. Repeat from step 3.
8. Resolve all Yahenni abilities from step 5.

This clever loop turns a simple combat trick into an endless recursion engine by trapping Dualcaster Mage in a perpetual cycle of life and death. You kick off the sequence by targeting the Mage with Demonic Gifts, ensuring that its untimely end won't actually make it stay in the graveyard. Once Yahenni, Undying Partisan sacrifices the Mage to shield it or push through sacrifice loops, the resulting death trigger brings the Mage right back to the battlefield. Each time Dualcaster Mage returns, its entry trigger copies the original Demonic Gifts to re-arm the shield, leaving Yahenni continuously stuffed with fresh +1/+1 counters while generating endless sacrificial fodder.
