How it works

1. Cast Planewide Celebration by paying 5, choosing the first mode twice, the third mode once and any other desired mode.
2. Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying 1.
3. When Dualcaster Mage enters the battlefield, it triggers.
4. Holding priority, activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing Dualcaster Mage, adding .
5. Resolve the Dualcaster Mage trigger, copying Planewide Celebration.
6. Resolve the Planewide Celebration copy, creating two 2/2 Citizen creature tokens, then returning Dualcaster Mage from your graveyard to your hand, then receiving the results of the remaining mode.
7. Activate Thermopod's second ability twice by sacrificing the Citizens, adding .
8. Repeat from step 2.

This magnificent engine turns a single casting of Planewide Celebration into an endless loop of creation and recycling by leveraging Dualcaster Mage's spell-copying entry trigger to continually replicate the sorcery. As the copied spells resolve, you use Planewide Celebration's modes to produce creature tokens and return Dualcaster Mage from your graveyard straight back to your hand, allowing you to recast it and repeat the entire sequence. The presence of Thermopod is the crucial catalyst that bridges the gap, letting you instantly sacrifice those newly spawned tokens and the Mage for red mana to continually recast everything, while its snow-mana activation even grants haste when needed to keep the machinery humming.
