How it works

1. Cast Unearth by paying , targeting any applicable target.
2. Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying 1.
3. When Dualcaster Mage enters, it triggers, targeting Unearth.
4. Holding priority, activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Dualcaster Mage.
5. Resolve the Dualcaster Mage trigger, copying Unearth, with the copy targeting Dualcaster Mage.
6. Resolve the Unearth copy, returning Dualcaster Mage from your graveyard to the battlefield.
7. Repeat from step 3.

This ingenious loop turns a modest reanimation spell into an unstoppable engine of destruction by exploiting Dualcaster Mage's clever timing when it enters the battlefield. With Altar of Dementia safely on the board, you cast Unearth to begin the cycle, then drop Dualcaster Mage to copy it mid-air and immediately send the Mage to the graveyard for a quick mill. Because the copied Unearth targets the very Dualcaster Mage you just sacrificed, it effortlessly pulls the creature right back from the graveyard to repeat the entire process.
