How it works

  1. Cast Entering by paying its mana cost, targeting any applicable target.
  2. Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying its mana cost.
  3. When Dualcaster Mage enters, it triggers, targeting Entering.
  4. Holding priority, activate Yahenni by sacrificing Dualcaster Mage.
  5. Resolve the Dualcaster Mage trigger, copying Entering, with the copy targeting Dualcaster Mage
  6. Resolve the Entering copy, returning Dualcaster Mage from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  7. Repeat from step 3.

This loop turns a simple resurrection spell into a self-sustaining engine by exploiting the interaction between Dualcaster Mage's reflexive copy trigger and your graveyard. When you cast Entering to pull Dualcaster Mage back from the graveyard, Dualcaster Mage immediately re-enters the battlefield to copy the original spell, targeting itself for future recursion. To keep the loop going without running out of resources, Yahenni, Undying Partisan serves as the mandatory sacrifice outlet, feeding on the perpetually returning wizard while effortlessly dodging destruction. Breaking // Entering provides the crucial foundation by offering that vital creature return effect, ensuring your sacrifices and spell copies can feed upon each other indefinitely.
