How it works

  1. Cast Presumed Dead by paying its mana cost.
  2. Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying its mana cost.
  3. When Dualcaster Mage enters, it triggers, copying Presumed Dead, with the copy targeting Dualcaster Mage.
  4. Resolve the copy of Presumed Dead.
  5. Holding priority, activate Yahenni by sacrificing Dualcaster Mage.
  6. When Dualcaster Mage dies, it triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  7. Repeat from step 3.
  8. Resolve all Yahenni abilities from step 5.

This crafty loop sets up an endless cycle of sacrifice and resurrection by turning **Dualcaster Mage** into its own recursion engine. When you cast **Presumed Dead** and flash in **Dualcaster Mage**, the Mage's enter-the-battlefield trigger copies the instant to target the Mage itself, granting it a delayed return-to-the-battlefield trigger upon death. You then sacrifice the Mage to **Yahenni, Undying Partisan**, which not only triggers Yahenni's ability to grow with a +1/+1 counter, but immediately pulls **Dualcaster Mage** right back out of the graveyard thanks to **Presumed Dead**'s granted effect. Once back on the battlefield, the Mage triggers again to copy **Presumed Dead**, letting you repeat the whole chain infinitely to generate boundless sacrifice, death, and ETB triggers.
