How it works

1. Cast Infuse with Vitality by paying its mana cost.
2. Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying its mana cost.
3. When Dualcaster Mage enters, it triggers, copying Infuse with Vitality, with the copy targeting Dualcaster Mage.
4. Resolve the copy of Infuse with Vitality.
5. Holding priority, activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Dualcaster Mage.
6. When Dualcaster Mage dies, it triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
7. Repeat from step 3.
8. Resolve all Altar of Dementia abilities from step 5.

This loop relies on Dualcaster Mage’s ability to copy an instant spell upon entering the battlefield, which we harness by targeting the mage itself with a pre-cast Infuse with Vitality. Because Infuse with Vitality grants the creature a delayed trigger to return to the battlefield upon death while also padding your life total, sacrificing the mage to Altar of Dementia sends it straight to the graveyard only to immediately bounce right back onto the battlefield. This recursive cycle of sacrifices and returns triggers Altar of Dementia over and over again to infinitely mill away your opponents while feeding you an endless stream of life and leaves-the-battlefield triggers.
