How it works

1. Cast Quantum Misalignment by paying its mana cost, targeting a creature you control.
2. Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying 1.
3. When Dualcaster Mage enters the battlefield, it triggers, copying Quantum Misalignment, targeting Dualcaster Mage.
4. Resolve the copy of Quantum Misalignment, creating a token copy of Dualcaster Mage.
5. Repeat from step 3.

This brilliant loop begins by casting Quantum Misalignment to target any creature you control, setting the stage before you hold priority and deploy Dualcaster Mage. As Dualcaster Mage enters the battlefield, its triggered ability targets the original Quantum Misalignment on the stack, copying it to target the Mage itself. Resolving that copy creates a token copy of Dualcaster Mage, which in turn triggers to copy Quantum Misalignment yet again, creating an unstoppable chain of token generation and enters-the-battlefield triggers.
