How it works

1. Cast Splash Portal by paying its mana cost.
2. Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying its mana cost.
3. When Dualcaster Mage enters, it triggers, copying Splash Portal, with the copy targeting Dualcaster Mage.
4. Resolve the copy of Splash Portal, blinking Dualcaster Mage.
5. Repeat from step 3.

This loop hinges on a brilliant recursive targeting trick: when you cast Splash Portal and hold priority to drop Dualcaster Mage into the mix, the Mage's entry trigger intercepts the original spell to copy it right back onto the Mage itself. The resolved copy of Splash Portal acts as a personal blink engine, exiling Dualcaster Mage and instantly returning it to the battlefield to restart the entire sequence. Because Dualcaster Mage's copy ability triggers fresh every single time it re-enters, you can repeat this cycle indefinitely to rack up infinite creature enters-the-battlefield triggers, leaves-the-battlefield triggers, and magecraft prowess.
