Phantom Train
Infinite creature LTBInfinite creature ETBInfinite creature sacrifice triggersInfinite death triggersInfinite magecraft triggersInfinite +1/+1 counters on a creature
How it works
Cast Afterlife from the Loam by paying at most 5.
Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying 1.
When Dualcaster Mage enters the battlefield, it triggers, targeting Afterlife from the Loam.
Holding priority, activate Phantom Train by sacrificing Dualcaster Mage.
Resolve the Dualcaster Mage trigger, copying Afterlife from the Loam, targeting Dualcaster Mage and any other creature(s) as desired.
Resolve the copy of Afterlife from the Loam, returning the targeted creatures from your graveyard to the battlefield.
Repeat from step 3.
This clever loop relies on sacrificing Dualcaster Mage to Phantom Train's activation cost in response to its own enter-the-battlefield ability, which targets the original Afterlife from the Loam on the stack. Once Phantom Train turns itself into a creature and accepts that sacrifice, the resolving copy of Afterlife from the Loam reaches into the graveyard to bring Dualcaster Mage right back to the battlefield. This fresh entry triggers a new copy, creating an endlessly repeating cycle that generates infinite sacrifices, deaths, and ETB triggers while stacking up limitless +1/+1 counters.
