How it works

1. Cast Devastating Onslaught by paying 2, targeting an artifact or creature you control.
2. Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying 1.
3. When Dualcaster Mage enters the battlefield, it triggers, copying Devastating Onslaught, targeting Dualcaster Mage.
4. Resolve the copy of Devastating Onslaught, creating a token copy of Dualcaster Mage.
5. Repeat from step 3.

This cunning loop begins the moment you cast Devastating Onslaught to set up your board, holding priority to sneak Dualcaster Mage in right underneath it with flash. When Dualcaster Mage enters the battlefield, its triggered ability targets the original sorcery, copying it to target the Mage itself; this spawns a fresh token copy of Dualcaster Mage that enters the battlefield to repeat the entire process indefinitely. Because Devastating Onslaught's copies enter the fray as exact replicas of the original wizard, each new token immediately generates another copy of the spell, cascading into infinite creature enters-the-battlefield triggers, infinite magecraft triggers, and an endless army of hasty tokens.
