How it works

1. Cast Incarnation Technique by paying its mana cost, targeting any applicable target.
2. Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying its mana cost.
3. When Dualcaster Mage enters, it triggers, targeting Incarnation Technique.
4. Holding priority, activate Phantom Train by sacrificing Dualcaster Mage.
5. Resolve the Dualcaster Mage trigger, copying Incarnation Technique, with the copy targeting Dualcaster Mage
6. Resolve the Incarnation Technique copy, returning Dualcaster Mage from your graveyard to the battlefield.
7. Repeat from step 3.

This clever loop hinges on the recursion of Incarnation Technique, which uses its own demonstrated power to mill your library and return a creature from the graveyard to the battlefield. By casting Dualcaster Mage to copy that spell, you create the initial fuel for the loop, but it is Phantom Train that truly enables the engine to run indefinitely; its activated ability lets you instantly sacrifice the Mage to put a +1/+1 counter on itself, sending the Mage straight to the graveyard so it can be brought right back by the copied Incarnation Technique. Each iteration re-triggers Dualcaster Mage upon entry to copy the spell anew, letting you repeat this cycle to generate boundless sacrifice, death, and magecraft triggers while stacking infinite power onto the Train.
