Kodama of the East Tree + Double Major + Simic Growth Chamber
Kodama of the East Tree
Double Major
Simic Growth Chamber
Infinite landfall triggers
How it works
Cast Kodama of the East Tree either from your hand or from the command zone by paying 4 plus commander tax, if applicable.
Holding priority, cast Double Major by paying , copying the Kodama of the East Tree spell, with the copy not being legendary.
Resolve both Kodama of the East Tree spells.
Play Simic Growth Chamber.
Both Kodama of the East Trees and Simic Growth Chamber trigger.
Resolve the token Kodama of the East Tree trigger, choosing not to put anything from your hand onto the battlefield.
Resolve the Simic Growth Chamber trigger, returning it to your hand from the battlefield.
Resolve the nontoken Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting Simic Growth Chamber from your hand onto the battlefield.
The token Kodama of the East Tree and Simic Growth Chamber trigger.
Resolve the Simic Growth Chamber trigger, returning it to your hand from the battlefield.
Resolve the token Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting Simic Growth Chamber from your hand onto the battlefield.
The nontoken Kodama of the East Tree and Simic Growth Chamber trigger.
Repeat from step 7.
This clever loop relies on copying your commander to trigger an endless chain of permanence. By casting Double Major in response to your original Kodama of the East Tree, you create a nonlegendary token copy of the creature, allowing both to remain on the battlefield simultaneously. When you subsequently play Simic Growth Chamber, its bounce ability is offset by the matching mana value triggers of your two Kodama of the East Trees, which continually drop the land right back onto the battlefield from your hand to fuel infinite landfall triggers.
