Kodama of the East Tree + Double Major + Azorius Chancery
Kodama of the East Tree
Double Major
Azorius Chancery
Infinite landfall triggers
How it works
Cast Kodama of the East Tree either from your hand or from the command zone by paying 4 plus commander tax, if applicable.
Holding priority, cast Double Major by paying , copying the Kodama of the East Tree spell, with the copy not being legendary.
Resolve both Kodama of the East Tree spells.
Play Azorius Chancery.
Both Kodama of the East Trees and Azorius Chancery trigger.
Resolve the token Kodama of the East Tree trigger, choosing not to put anything from your hand onto the battlefield.
Resolve the Azorius Chancery trigger, returning it to your hand from the battlefield.
Resolve the nontoken Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting Azorius Chancery from your hand onto the battlefield.
The token Kodama of the East Tree and Azorius Chancery trigger.
Resolve the Azorius Chancery trigger, returning it to your hand from the battlefield.
Resolve the token Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting Azorius Chancery from your hand onto the battlefield.
The nontoken Kodama of the East Tree and Azorius Chancery trigger.
Repeat from step 7.
By using Double Major to slip a nonlegendary copy of Kodama of the East Tree onto the battlefield alongside your original commander, you set up a recursive engine where the two Kodamas can trigger each other. When you play Azorius Chancery, its entry triggers both Kodamas while its bounce ability forces it back to your hand. Each Kodama's triggered ability then catches the returning Azorius Chancery entering the battlefield anew, letting you immediately drop the land right back down. This creates an infinite, self-sustaining loop of entering and bouncing that generates infinite landfall triggers.
