Kodama of the East Tree + Double Major + Dimir Aqueduct
Kodama of the East Tree
Double Major
Dimir Aqueduct
Infinite landfall triggers
How it works
Cast Kodama of the East Tree either from your hand or from the command zone by paying 4 plus commander tax, if applicable.
Holding priority, cast Double Major by paying , copying the Kodama of the East Tree spell, with the copy not being legendary.
Resolve both Kodama of the East Tree spells.
Play Dimir Aqueduct.
Both Kodama of the East Trees and Dimir Aqueduct trigger.
Resolve the token Kodama of the East Tree trigger, choosing not to put anything from your hand onto the battlefield.
Resolve the Dimir Aqueduct trigger, returning it to your hand from the battlefield.
Resolve the nontoken Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting Dimir Aqueduct from your hand onto the battlefield.
The token Kodama of the East Tree and Dimir Aqueduct trigger.
Resolve the Dimir Aqueduct trigger, returning it to your hand from the battlefield.
Resolve the token Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting Dimir Aqueduct from your hand onto the battlefield.
The nontoken Kodama of the East Tree and Dimir Aqueduct trigger.
Repeat from step 7.
By duplicating our commander with Double Major, we create a nonlegendary token copy so that both our original Kodama of the East Tree and its copy are sitting safely on the battlefield together. Their triggered abilities create a clever recursion loop when we play Dimir Aqueduct: whenever the land enters, it bounces itself back to our hand, which in turn causes one of our Kodama triggers to drop it right back onto the battlefield. Because you control two separate Kodama of the East Tree triggers for each bounce, you can easily maintain this infinite loop to farm endless landfall triggers.
