How it works

1. Cast Kodama of the East Tree either from your hand or from the command zone by paying 4 plus commander tax, if applicable.
2. Holding priority, cast Double Major by paying , copying the Kodama of the East Tree spell, with the copy not being legendary.
3. Resolve both Kodama of the East Tree spells.
4. Play Izzet Boilerworks.
5. Both Kodama of the East Trees and Izzet Boilerworks trigger.
6. Resolve the token Kodama of the East Tree trigger, choosing not to put anything from your hand onto the battlefield.
7. Resolve the Izzet Boilerworks trigger, returning it to your hand from the battlefield.
8. Resolve the nontoken Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting Izzet Boilerworks from your hand onto the battlefield.
9. The token Kodama of the East Tree and Izzet Boilerworks trigger.
10. Resolve the Izzet Boilerworks trigger, returning it to your hand from the battlefield.
11. Resolve the token Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting Izzet Boilerworks from your hand onto the battlefield.
12. The nontoken Kodama of the East Tree and Izzet Boilerworks trigger.
13. Repeat from step 7.

By targeting your own commander spell with Double Major, you bypass the legendary rule to bring two copies of Kodama of the East Tree onto the battlefield at once. Once this dynamic duo is established, dropping Izzet Boilerworks starts a self-sustaining loop: every time the land enters and bounces itself back to your hand, each Kodama of the East Tree triggers in turn to immediately cheat it right back onto the battlefield. This elegant dance lets you ping your landfall triggers infinitely, all powered by a cleverly copied legendary spirit and a humble bounceland.
