Kodama of the East Tree + Double Major + Boros Garrison
Kodama of the East Tree
Double Major
Boros Garrison
Infinite landfall triggers
How it works
Cast Kodama of the East Tree by paying 4.
Holding priority, cast Double Major by paying , copying the Kodama of the East Tree spell, with the copy not being legendary.
Resolve both Kodama of the East Tree spells.
Play Boros Garrison.
Both Kodama of the East Trees and Boros Garrison trigger.
Resolve the token Kodama of the East Tree trigger, choosing not to put anything from your hand onto the battlefield.
Resolve the Boros Garrison trigger, returning it to your hand from the battlefield.
Resolve the nontoken Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting Boros Garrison from your hand onto the battlefield.
The token Kodama of the East Tree and Boros Garrison trigger.
Resolve the Boros Garrison trigger, returning it to your hand from the battlefield.
Resolve the token Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting Boros Garrison from your hand onto the battlefield.
The nontoken Kodama of the East Tree and Boros Garrison trigger.
Repeat from step 7.
By using Double Major to copy our commander while it's still a spell, we bypass the legend rule and get two copies of Kodama of the East Tree on the battlefield simultaneously. This sets up a recursive engine where playing Boros Garrison triggers both Kodama copies; one trigger returns the land to your hand, while the other instantly puts it right back onto the battlefield. Because Boros Garrison's own enters-the-battlefield ability keeps bouncing it back to your hand every time it drops, the two Kodama of the East Tree triggers feed into each other indefinitely to generate infinite landfall triggers.
