Kodama of the East Tree
Cloudstone Curio
Cadric, Soul Kindler
Infinite creature ETBInfinite landfall triggersInfinite creature LTBPut a selection of permanent cards from your hand onto the battlefield
How it works
Cast Kodama of the East Tree by paying 4.
When Kodama of the East Tree enters the battlefield, Cadric and Cloudstone Curio trigger.
Resolve the Cloudstone Curio trigger, declining to use it.
Resolve the Cadric trigger, paying 1 to create a token copy of Kodama of the East Tree.
Play the nonartifact permanent in your hand.
When it enters the battlefield, Cloudstone Curio and both copies of Kodama of the East Tree trigger.
Resolve the Cloudstone Curio trigger, returning the other nonartifact permanent from the battlefield to your hand.
Resolve the first Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting the permanent you returned in step 7 from your hand onto the battlefield.
When that permanent enters the battlefield, Cloudstone Curio and the second Kodama of the East Tree trigger.
Resolve the Cloudstone Curio trigger, returning the permanent you played in step 5 from the battlefield to your hand.
Resolve the Kodama of the East Tree trigger from step 9, declining to use it unless desired.
Resolve the remaining Kodama of the East Tree trigger from step 6, putting the permanent you returned in step 10 from your hand onto the battlefield.
Repeat from step 6 any number of times.
This combo results in Infinite ETB and Infinite LTB if a permanent involved is a creature, and/or Infinite landfall triggers if it is a land.
Cadric, Soul Kindler is the catalyst here, letting you pay {1} to create a token copy of Kodama of the East Tree whenever the original enters the battlefield, with Cadric's static ability elegantly bypassing the legend rule so both stay in play. Once you have this double-Kodama setup, Cloudstone Curio acts as the engine by bouncing your permanents back to your hand whenever a new one enters, turning every card you play into a self-sustaining loop. Because Cloudstone Curio triggers whenever *any* nonartifact permanent enters, it seamlessly feeds Kodama of the East Tree's triggered ability to cheat those same bounced permanents right back onto the battlefield from your hand, unlocking endless triggers.
