How it works

1. Play the nonartifact permanent in your hand.
2. When it enters the battlefield, Cloudstone Curio and both copies of Kodama of the East Tree trigger.
3. Resolve the Cloudstone Curio trigger, returning the other nonartifact permanent from the battlefield to your hand.
4. Resolve the first Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting the permanent you returned in step 3 from your hand onto the battlefield.
5. When that permanent enters the battlefield, Cloudstone Curio and the second Kodama of the East Tree trigger.
6. Resolve the Cloudstone Curio trigger, returning the permanent you played in step 1 from the battlefield to your hand.
7. Resolve the Kodama of the East Tree trigger from step 5, declining to use it unless desired.
8. Resolve the remaining Kodama of the East Tree trigger from step 2, putting the permanent you returned in step 6 from your hand onto the battlefield.
9. Repeat from step 2 any number of times.
10. This combo results in Infinite ETB and Infinite LTB if a permanent involved is a creature, and/or Infinite landfall triggers if it is a land.

This intricate loop is built around the dual triggers of two copies of Kodama of the East Tree working in tandem to cheat permanents directly into play. By having Auton Soldier enter the battlefield as a copy of Kodama of the East Tree, you double up on those powerful entrance triggers so that dropping any permanent lets you bounce and replay your entire hand. Cloudstone Curio serves as the essential pivot, turning each new entry into a free bounce effect that returns your existing permanents back to your hand to be deployed all over again.
