How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Weaponcraft Enthusiast.
2. When Weaponcraft Enthusiast dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Weaponcraft Enthusiast enters, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on the seamless interplay between Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight's nighttime face giving your creatures persist and Ashnod's Altar turning your creatures into a steady stream of colorless mana. By sacrificing Weaponcraft Enthusiast to the Altar, you generate the mana needed to keep your engine running while triggering its return via persist. Because Weaponcraft Enthusiast also features fabricate, every time it returns with a -1/-1 counter, that counter is instantly neutralized by a +1/+1 counter entering alongside it, keeping the creature alive and the loop infinitely repeatable!
