How it works

  1. Activate a creature by tapping it.
  2. Magda triggers, as the creature is a Dwarf due to Leyline of Transformation, creating a 1/1 Thopter artifact creature token and a Treasure token due to Stridehangar Automaton.
  3. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns any of your creatures into an endless generator of wealth and metal, legal across formats like Commander and Legacy. With Leyline of Transformation blanketing your entire team in a chosen creature type—most importantly making them Dwarves—every single tap becomes a catalyst. When you tap a creature for mana using Cryptolith Rite, Magda, Brazen Outlaw triggers, and Stridehangar Automaton steps in to supercharge your token generation by churning out both a Treasure and an extra Thopter alongside it. While Magda, Brazen Outlaw and Stridehangar Automaton provide the crucial triggers and token-doubling replacement effects, and The Fire Crystal offers haste and mana reduction, the entire engine loops smoothly on the mana produced by Cryptolith Rite. Once you have accumulated enough bounty, you can cash in Magda's ultimate ability to fetch any artifact or Dragon from your library straight to the battlefield.
