This clever engine turns a clever mechanical paradox into an unstoppable growth machine by using Sinking Feeling to bypass the usual untap restrictions with a self-correcting activation cost. By enchanting Pheres-Band Tromper with Sinking Feeling, you gain the ability to pay mana and place a -1/-1 counter to untap it on command, which simultaneously triggers the Tromper's inspired ability to add a +1/+1 counter. While Song of Freyalise can help generate the mana needed to fuel these loops, Shang-Chi, Martial Mentor supercharges the entire sequence by doubling every incoming +1/+1 counter. The result is that the +1/+1 counters outpace the -1/-1 counters, allowing you to stack an arbitrarily large amount of power onto your creature while repeating the process infinitely.
