How it works

1. Activate Eldazi Displacer by paying 2C, blinking Sage of Hours and causing it to enter the battlefield with five or more +1/+1 counters on it due to Bloodspore Thrinax.
2. Activate Sage of Hours by removing all +1/+1 counters from it, causing you to take at least one extra turn after this one.
3. Repeat each turn.

This clever loop achieves infinite turns by using Eldrazi Displacer as a repeatable blink engine that constantly resets Sage of Hours. The secret to making the math work is Bloodspore Thrinax, whose passive devour and counter-amplifying ability ensures that Sage of Hours re-enters the battlefield with five or more +1/+1 counters already on it. All you need to do is spend those counters to take an extra turn with Sage of Hours, and then use Eldrazi Displacer to blink the Sage right back in to instantly reload the counters for the next cycle.
