How it works

1. If you have more than three cards in hand, activate Noose Constrictor by discarding a card.
2. Repeat step 1 until you have three or fewer cards in hand.
3. At the beginning of your end step, Doctor Octopus triggers, causing you to draw at least five cards.
4. Lyla triggers for each card drawn, putting that many +1/+1 counters on Sage of Hours.
5. Activate Sage of Hours by removing all +1/+1 counters from it, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
6. Repeat each turn.

By utilizing Noose Constrictor to artificially dump cards from your hand, you ensure that Doctor Octopus, Master Planner will trigger during your end step to draw a massive handful of cards. Each card drawn causes Lyla, Holographic Assistant to place a +1/+1 counter on Sage of Hours, quickly accumulating the five counters required to activate the Sage's ability for an extra turn. Meanwhile, Doctor Octopus, Master Planner also pumps your team with a static +2/+2 bonus and bumps your hand size to eight, making the entire engine self-sustaining cycle after cycle.
