Vigor + Triskelion + Lae'zel, Vlaakith's Champion
How it works
- Activate Triskelion by removing a +1/+1 counter on it, targeting itself, but putting two +1/+1 counters on it due to Vigor.
- Activate Triskelion by removing a +1/+1 counter on it, dealing 1 damage to any target.
- Repeat.
This loop turns Triskelion into a self-sustaining engine of destruction by having it shoot itself for its own counters, cleverly bypassing the usual fatal consequence thanks to Vigor. Because Vigor redirects that damage into prevented damage and converts it into +1/+1 counters, Triskelion actually grows larger instead of dying. The math gets even more explosive when Lae'zel, Vlaakith's Champion is on the battlefield, as her replacement effect grants an extra counter every single time one is placed, yielding net-positive growth that lets you spin the loop infinitely. With those extra counters generated at every iteration, you can easily divert Triskelion's firepower away from itself to deal infinite damage to any target while pumping the rest of your team to astronomical sizes.
