How it works

1. Cast Kor Skyfisher by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and Helm of Awakening.
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. When the Soldier enters, Verdant Sun's Avatar triggers, causing you to gain life.
4. Resolve Kor Skyfisher. When it enters, it and Verdant Sun's Avatar trigger.
5. Resolve the Kor Skyfisher trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Resolve the Verdant Sun's Avatar trigger, causing you to gain life.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the self-bouncing nature of Kor Skyfisher into an infinite engine by leveraging a pair of cost-reducers. With Helm of Awakening and Defiler of Faith both active on your board, you can cast Kor Skyfisher for free by trading life for its mana cost. Each iteration of this cycle triggers Defiler of Faith to create a 1/1 white Soldier creature token, which in turn causes Verdant Sun's Avatar to trigger and pad your life total back up. When Kor Skyfisher finally resolves and enters the battlefield, its own triggered ability forces you to return it to your hand, resetting the loop so you can cast it all over again.
