How it works

  1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Su-Chi.
  2. When Su-Chi dies, it triggers, adding CCCC.
  3. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing target player to mill cards equal to Su-Chi's power.
  4. Activate Chainer by paying 3 and 3 life, returning Su-Chi to the battlefield from your graveyard.
  5. When Su-Chi enters the battlefield, Verdant Sun's Avatar triggers, causing you to gain life equal to Su-Chi's toughness.
  6. Repeat.

This loop works by transforming Su-Chi into a self-sustaining engine of sacrifice, resurrection, and regeneration. When you use Altar of Dementia to sacrifice Su-Chi, its death triggers the mana ability to generate four colorless mana, which readily covers the cost to bring it back through Chainer, Dementia Master's resurrection ability. Because Mycosynth Lattice is on the battlefield, it blankets every permanent and card with artifact status and makes everything colorless, ensuring your mana needs flow smoothly without color restrictions. Finally, Verdant Sun's Avatar ensures that every time Su-Chi enters the battlefield, its toughness safely offsets the 3-life payment required by Chainer, Dementia Master, allowing you to mill an opponent out entirely through an endless cycle of sacrifice.
