How it works

1. Activate Wild Cantor by sacrificing it.
2. When Wild Cantor dies, Mortuary and Fleshtaker trigger.
3. Resolve the Fleshtaker trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and scry 1.
4. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Wild Cantor from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
5. Cast Wild Cantor from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the self-sacrificing nature of Wild Cantor into a continuous engine, fueled entirely by life rather than mana. Bolas's Citadel allows you to cast Wild Cantor directly from the top of your library for a mere 1 life instead of its normal cost, while Mortuary catches the creature as it dies and places it right back on top of your library. Meanwhile, Fleshtaker provides the crucial scry and lifegain triggers that let you filter your draws and offset the life paid to the Citadel, netting you infinite colored mana, storm count, and life in the process.
