How it works

1. Activate Stonybrook Schoolmaster by tapping it, adding 3.
2. Stonybrook Schoolmaster triggers, creating a 1/1 Merfolk Wizard creature token.
3. Activate Stonybrook Schoolmaster by paying 3 and untapping it, giving it +2/+2 until end of turn.
4. Repeat.

With Paradise Mantle equipped to Stonybrook Schoolmaster, tapping the Schoolmaster for mana normally produces a single mana, but the presence of Nyxbloom Ancient supercharges this output to yield three mana instead. This windfall of mana is more than enough to pay the activation cost of Umbral Mantle, allowing you to spend three mana to untap the Schoolmaster and pump its stats. Because tapping Stonybrook Schoolmaster for the Mantle's ability also triggers its own ability to create a 1/1 Merfolk Wizard token, every iteration of this tapping and untapping loop grows the creature larger, generates boundless mana, and floods the board with an endless army of tokens.
