How it works

1. Activate Will Kenrith's second loyalty ability by removing two loyalty counters from it, causing you to draw two cards and causing instant, sorcery and planeswalker spells you cast to cost 2 less to cast until your next turn.
2. Cast Whim of Volrath by paying due to Will Kenrith.
3. Namor triggers, creating a 1/1 Merfolk creature token.
4. Resolve Whim of Volrath.
5. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the Merfolk, adding .
6. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop turns a simple text-changing spell into an engine for infinite mana and token generation. It all starts with Will Kenrith discounting your instant, sorcery, and planeswalker spells by {2}, which makes casting Whim of Volrath cost just a single blue mana. Each time you cast Whim of Volrath, Namor the Sub-Mariner triggers to reward you with a 1/1 blue Merfolk token right into play. You can then feed that freshly minted token directly to Phyrexian Altar to recoup the mana needed to keep going, and because Whim of Volrath features buyback, it simply returns to your hand to be cast over and over again.
