How it works
- Activate Chromatic Orrery's first ability by tapping it, adding 5.
- Activate Cogwork Assembler by paying 7, creating two token copies of Chromatic Orrery.
- Activate the Chromatic Orrery tokens' first abilities by tapping them, adding 10.
- Repeat from step 2.
- Once you have infinite mana, you may instead tap the Chromatic Orrery tokens to draw infinite cards, or target any artifact(s) using Cogwork Assembler's ability.
This engine turns a modest mana investment into an overwhelming board state by exploiting the multiplicative power of Primal Vigor. When you activate Cogwork Assembler to copy Chromatic Orrery, Primal Vigor steps in to double the resulting tokens, meaning each activation yields two mana-producing powerhouses instead of one. The newly created Chromatic Orrery tokens can each tap for five colorless mana—and thanks to Chromatic Orrery's own color-fixing ability, that mana can easily be filtered into the seven generic mana required to fuel the next Cogwork Assembler activation. Meanwhile, Mirror Box sits quietly on the battlefield ensuring that the explosion of identical artifacts won't run afoul of any state-based rules, allowing you to easily spin the loop into infinite mana, infinite artifact copies, and eventually infinite card draw.
