How it works

1. Activate Cogwork Assembler by paying 7, creating two token copies of Esika's Chariot.
2. When the Esika's Chariots enter the battlefield, their first abilities trigger, creating four 2/2 Cat creature tokens.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar four times by sacrificing the Cats, adding eight C.
4. Repeat.
5. Once you have infinite mana, you may forego sacrificing the Cats and/or target any other artifact using Cogwork Assembler.

This engine scales exponentially thanks to Mondrak, Glory Dominus, whose replacement effect doubles every single token you bring into the field. When you pay into Cogwork Assembler's hefty activation cost, Mondrak ensures you get two token copies of Esika's Chariot instead of one, which in turn triggers their entrance abilities to flood your board with amplified Cat creature tokens. You then feed those extra Cats to Ashnod's Altar to easily recoup and multiply your initial investment into a mountain of colorless mana. With your mana engine fully self-sustaining, Cogwork Assembler can keep churning out infinite hasty copies of your artifacts and endless creature tokens to overwhelm the table.
