How it works

1. Activate Cogwork Assembler by paying 7, creating a token copy of Su-Chi Cave Guard with haste.
2. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing the Su-Chi Cave Guard token.
3. When Su-Chi Cave Guard dies, it triggers, adding eight C.
4. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing target player to mill cards equal to Su-Chi Cave Guard's power.
5. Repeat.
6. Once you have infinite mana, you may repeat step 1 targeting any artifact you control.

This ingenious loop harnesses the massive mana generation of Su-Chi Cave Guard to fuel Cogwork Assembler, allowing you to repeatedly copy the Cave Guard and immediately sacrifice the resulting token to Altar of Dementia. Each iteration of this cycle yields a net gain of one colorless mana—since the Cave Guard produces eight colorless mana on death while the Assembler costs seven to activate—while simultaneously milling an opponent for four cards each time. Because the mana persists through steps and phases, you can scale this into an infinite loop that not only mills your opponents out entirely, but also populates the battlefield with infinite haste-granting artifact copies.
