How it works

  1. Cast Lightning Storm by paying 1R manaR mana, targeting either copy of Stormchaser Drake.
  2. Stormchaser Drake triggers, which due to Abundance causes you to reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a land card and put it into your hand.
  3. Activate Lightning Storm by discarding a land card, putting that land card on the bottom of your library due to Wheel of Sun and Moon.
  4. Resolve the Lightning Storm ability, putting two charge counters on it and changing the target to the other copy of Stormchaser Drake.
  5. Repeat from step 2.
  6. Once Lightning Storm has an arbitrarily large number of charge counters, activate it by discarding a land to change its target to any other target of your choosing to deal infinite damage to that target.

This clever loop transforms Stormchaser Drake—duplicated cleanly onto the battlefield as a 7/7 via Quicksilver Gargantuan—into an endless engine by repeatedly targeting them with Lightning Storm. Each time a Stormchaser Drake becomes the target of your spell, its triggered ability tries to make you draw, but Abundance intercepts that draw to seamlessly search out a land card instead. You then pitch that very same land to pay for Lightning Storm's ability, which lets you redirect the spell back at your other Stormchaser Drake copy while pumping up its charge counters. Meanwhile, Wheel of Sun and Moon ensures that any discarded lands don't hit your graveyard, recycling them straight to the bottom of your library so Abundance can continuously find them again and again.
