How it works

  1. Cast Lightning Storm by paying 1R manaR mana, targeting either copy of Stormchaser Drake.
  2. Stormchaser Drake triggers, which due to Abundance causes you to reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a land card and put it into your hand.
  3. Activate Lightning Storm by discarding a land card, putting that land card on the bottom of your library due to Wheel of Sun and Moon.
  4. Resolve the Lightning Storm ability, putting two charge counters on it and changing the target to the other copy of Stormchaser Drake.
  5. Repeat from step 2.
  6. Once Lightning Storm has an arbitrarily large number of charge counters, activate it by discarding a land to change its target to any other target of your choosing to deal infinite damage to that target.

This intricate loop harnesses a clever interplay between two copies of Stormchaser Drake—one of which is actually a Vesuvan Shapeshifter transformed into a copy of the Drake—to constantly trigger card replacement. As you target the Drakes with Lightning Storm, Abundance steps in to turn those potential card draws into guaranteed land draws, giving you the exact fuel you need to keep discarding. To prevent you from ever running out of ammunition, Wheel of Sun and Moon quietly tucks those discarded lands straight back to the bottom of your library in an endless cycle. The result is a self-sustaining engine that pumps Lightning Storm full of charge counters, letting you redirect it for infinite damage to close out the game.
