Infinite self-discard triggersInfinite damage to one opponent

How it works

  1. Cast Lightning Storm by paying 1R manaR mana, targeting either copy of Stormchaser Drake.
  2. Stormchaser Drake triggers, which due to Abundance causes you to reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a land card and put it into your hand.
  3. Activate Lightning Storm by discarding a land card, putting that land card on the bottom of your library due to Wheel of Sun and Moon.
  4. Resolve the Lightning Storm ability, putting two charge counters on it and changing the target to the other copy of Stormchaser Drake.
  5. Repeat from step 2.
  6. Once Lightning Storm has an arbitrarily large number of charge counters, activate it by discarding a land to change its target to any other target of your choosing to deal infinite damage to that target.

This looping finisher transforms the humble act of discarding lands into an overwhelming storm of damage. By targeting your own copies of Stormchaser Drake with Lightning Storm, every spell cast and target change triggers card draw that Abundance seamlessly converts into a guaranteed land in your hand. Meanwhile, Wheel of Sun and Moon quietly ensures your discarded lands never run out by cycling them straight back to the bottom of your library, fueling an infinite loop alongside Chameleon, Master of Disguise as needed. Once Lightning Storm accumulates enough charge counters, you simply point it at an opponent for the game-ending blow.
