How it works
- Activate Vorel of the Hull Clade by paying and tapping it, doubling the number of counters on Karn Liberated.
- Activate Karn Liberated by removing twelve loyalty counters from it, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
- Repeat each turn.
This mesmerizing concoction lets you take all the extra turns you desire by fundamentally reshaping the board with Mycosynth Lattice, which turns every single permanent into an artifact. This transformation allows Vorel of the Hull Clade to target planeswalkers like Karn Liberated with its counter-doubling ability, bypassing normal loyalty restrictions. Meanwhile, Ichormoon Gauntlet provides a crucial static engine: whenever you cast a noncreature spell, it adds a counter of your choice to a permanent, seamlessly working alongside Vorel of the Hull Clade to keep Karn Liberated fully charged. Once the loyalty counters are sufficiently doubled, Karn Liberated uses its ultimate to take endless extra turns, locking your opponents out of the game entirely.
