How it works
- Gain life.
- Spider-Man triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale.
- Basking Broodscale triggers, creating a creature token.
- When the creature token enters the battlefield, Trostani triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
- Repeat from step 2.
This delightful loop is anchored by Basking Broodscale, which acts as our token-generating engine by spitting out an Eldrazi Spawn whenever it receives a +1/+1 counter. That counter placement is continuously fueled by Spider-Man, Peter Parker, who watches you gain life and reflexively drops a +1/+1 counter right back onto the Broodscale while granting it temporary protection. Meanwhile, Trostani, Selesnya's Voice watches the resulting Eldrazi Spawn march onto the battlefield and instantly rewards you with life equal to its toughness—which in turn trips Spider-Man's trigger all over again. By closing the loop with the Eldrazi Spawn's sacrifice ability, you generate an endless cascade of mana, life, and counters that can easily overwhelm an entire table.
