How it works

1. Activate Warren Soultrader by paying 1 life and sacrificing the persist creature.
2. When the persist creature dies, its persist ability triggers, returning the persist creature from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When the persist creature enters, Trostani triggers, causing you to gain life equal to the creature's toughness.
4. Resolve the Warren Soultrader ability, creating a Treasure token.
5. When the Treasure enters, Mm'menon triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on the persist creature.
6. Repeat.

This engine spins out of control by feeding your persist creature into Warren Soultrader to fuel a recursive loop of sacrifices and returns. Every time the creature comes back, Trostani, Selesnya's Voice pads your life total while the newly minted Treasure token from the Soultrader triggers Mm'menon, Uthros Exile to place a +1/+1 counter on the returning creature—which conveniently cancels out its -1/-1 counter so the loop can keep going indefinitely.
