Time Sieve + Mycosynth Lattice + Helm of the Host + Abhorrent Overlord
How it works
- At the beginning of your combat phase, Helm of the Host triggers, creating at least one token copy of Abhorrent Overlord with haste.
- When the Abhorrent Overlord token enters the battlefield, it triggers, creating at least four 1/1 Harpy creature tokens.
- Activate Time Sieve by tapping it, sacrificing the Abhorrent Overlord token and the Harpy tokens, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
- Repeat each turn.
This intricate loop turns your combat step into an endless sequence of extra turns by taking absolute advantage of Mycosynth Lattice's global passive effect, which makes every single permanent on the battlefield an artifact. That blanket transformation means Helm of the Host doesn't even need to be attached to an artifact creature to fuel your engine; it simply pumps out a fresh copy of Abhorrent Overlord every combat phase with haste. When that legendary-free copy arrives, its enters-the-battlefield trigger immediately floods the board with flying Harpy tokens fueled by your soaring devotion to black. You then tap Time Sieve to sacrifice that very Abhorrent Overlord alongside four of its Harpy followers, cashing in the artifact permanents granted by the Lattice to secure an infinite chain of extra turns.
