How it works

1. At the beginning of your upkeep, Tamiyo's Journal triggers, creating two Food, two Clue, and two Treasure artifact tokens.
2. Activate Time Sieve by tapping it and sacrificing five artifacts, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
3. Repeat each turn.

This elegant contraption turns a single upkeep trigger into an endless engine of extra turns. It all begins when Tamiyo's Journal prompts you to investigate at the dawn of your turn, but the presence of Academy Manufactor and Peregrin Took utterly warps that simple Clue creation into a massive windfall of two Clues, two Treasures, and a whopping four Foods. With that sudden influx of artifact material, you immediately have more than enough fodder to satisfy Time Sieve's five-sacrifice requirement and seize an extra turn.
