How it works
- Cast Machine God's Effigy by paying 4. Choose to have it enter the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
- When Machine God's Effigy enters, it triggers. Holding priority, activate Machine God's Effigy by tapping it, adding .
- Activate Lithatog by sacrificing Machine God's Effigy.
- Resolve the Machine God's Effigy trigger, causing you to mill three cards and return Machine God's Effigy from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
- Repeat from step 2.
This clever loop relies on Technomancer's ability to pull low-cost artifact creatures straight out of the graveyard, which we recreate by casting Machine God's Effigy to enter as a copy of the Technomancer. By tapping the Effigy-copy for blue mana in response to its own enter-the-battlefield trigger and then sacrificing it to Lithatog, we send the Effigy back to the graveyard just in time for its resolution to recur it. This creates a perpetual cycle of entering and leaving the battlefield that generates infinite mana, endless sacrifice triggers, and an infinitely large Lithatog.
