How it works
- Cast Machine God's Effigy by paying 4. Choose to have it enter the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
- When Machine God's Effigy enters, it triggers. Holding priority, activate Machine God's Effigy by tapping it, adding .
- Activate Atog by sacrificing Machine God's Effigy.
- Resolve the Machine God's Effigy trigger, causing you to mill three cards and return Machine God's Effigy from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
- Repeat from step 2.
This clever loop relies on Technomancer's ability to pull artifact creatures back from the graveyard, and Machine God's Effigy can cleverly enter the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer to continuously trigger that recursion. By tapping the Effigy for blue mana before sacrificing it to Atog's snack bar, you fund the mana required to keep the loop going while fueling an endless cycle of artifact entry and death triggers. Because Technomancer's recursion allows you to grab any artifact creature cards with a total mana value of 6 or less, this setup easily recycles the Effigy endlessly and digs deep into your graveyard, leaving Atog as a terrifyingly massive threat.
