How it works
Cast Machine God's Effigy by paying 4. Choose to have it enter the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
When Machine God's Effigy enters, it triggers. Holding priority, activate Machine God's Effigy by tapping it, adding .
Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Machine God's Effigy.
Resolve the Machine God's Effigy trigger, causing you to mill three cards and return Machine God's Effigy from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
Repeat from step 2.
This infinite loop turns a clever clone trick into a self-sustaining engine by exploiting the interaction between Technomancer and a copied entity. When Machine God's Effigy enters the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer, its own ETB trigger goes on the stack while its newly acquired mana ability lets it tap for blue mana. You then use Umbral Collar Zealot to sacrifice the cloned Effigy, sending it back to the graveyard just in time for its pending trigger to resolve and bring it right back to the battlefield. Because the cloned Technomancer's ETB can pull itself out of the graveyard (since its mana value is 6 or less), you can repeat this cycle indefinitely to generate infinite blue mana, self-mill your entire deck, and trigger endless sacrifice and death effects.
