How it works

1. Cast Glorious Protector by paying 2.
2. When Glorious Protector enters the battlefield, it triggers, exiling Abdel Adrian until Glorious Protector leaves the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, ending its effect, causing Detention Sphere to return from exile to the battlefield.
4. When Detention Sphere enters the battlefield, its first ability triggers, exiling Glorious Protector.
5. When Glorious Protector leaves the battlefield, Abdel Adrian returns from exile to the battlefield.
6. When Abdel Adrian enters the battlefield, it triggers, exiling Detention Sphere and any number of other nonland permanents you control until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield and creating at least one 1/1 Soldier creature token.
7. When Detention Sphere leaves the battlefield, its second ability triggers, returning Glorious Protector to the battlefield from exile.
8. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop sets up an infinite cascading cycle of entries and exits by leveraging the recursive relationship between Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward and Glorious Protector. When Glorious Protector enters to hide away Abdel Adrian, it prematurely triggers a cascade of returns that frees Detention Sphere to instantly scoop up the Protector in turn. Because Detention Sphere's sudden departure safely drops Abdel Adrian right back onto the battlefield, the cycle can repeat indefinitely to swarm the board with an endless army of Soldier tokens alongside infinite triggers for any other nonland permanents you wish to blink.
