How it works

1. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Visionary Augmenter.
2. When Visionary Augmenter dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Visionary Augmenter enters, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop revolves around the dual nature of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight, whose reverse face grants your nontoken creatures persist to set up a perpetual recycling system. By sacrificing Visionary Augmenter to Carrion Feeder, you trigger the creature's newly gained persist ability to bring it right back to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter. Thanks to Visionary Augmenter's fabricate ability, its re-entry into play lets you place a +1/+1 counter on it, which instantly neutralizes the -1/-1 counter through state-based actions. This leaves the augmented artificer clean and ready to be fed to Carrion Feeder all over again, generating an endless cascade of sacrifices and counters.
