How it works

1. Activate Yahenni by sacrificing Visionary Augmenter.
2. When Visionary Augmenter dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Visionary Augmenter enters, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Resolve the Yahenni ability.
5. Repeat.

This loop turns the clever interplay between your sacrifice outlet and resurrection engine into an endless cycle of rebirth. While Yahenni, Undying Partisan acts as the ultimate altar by devouring your board and granting itself protection, Visionary Augmenter fuels the engine by repeatedly bringing fodder back through the persist granted by Isilu, Carrier of Twilight (the back face of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn). Every time Visionary Augmenter returns, its fabricate ability places a +1/+1 counter on it that cancels out the incoming -1/+1 counter, resetting its mortality so Yahenni can sacrifice it all over again.
