How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Reassembling Skeleton, adding .
2. Activate Reassembling Skeleton by paying 1, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. Quintorius triggers, creating a creature token.
4. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the creature tokens, adding 1.
5. Repeat.

This self-sustaining engine relies on the interplay between a recursive threat and a mana-producing sacrifice outlet to grind down your opponents. By feeding Reassembling Skeleton into Phyrexian Altar, you generate the black mana needed to bring the skeleton right back to the battlefield over and over again. Every time that skeleton leaves the graveyard, Quintorius, Field Historian spots the zone change and floods your board with 3/2 Spirit tokens. Those very same Spirits then become expendable fuel for Phyrexian Altar, providing the colorless mana required to help fund the skeleton's recurring resurrection costs while also benefiting from Quintorius's static anthem effect.
