How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Reassembling Skeleton, adding .
2. Activate Reassembling Skeleton by paying 1, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. Skeleton Crew triggers, creating a creature token.
4. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the creature tokens, adding 1.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop uses Phyrexian Altar as a sacrificial engine to convert our dead into mana, funding Reassembling Skeleton's remarkably persistent ability to claw its way back from the graveyard time and time again. Every time the Skeleton leaves our graveyard, Skeleton Crew leaps into action with its triggered ability to flood the board with 2/2 Skeleton Pirate tokens. Those very tokens can then be fed right back into the Phyrexian Altar to generate the extra mana needed to keep the cycle spinning endlessly.
